Shapes
Loafer: no lacing, with or without a bit. The shoe for a light suit and a trouser without turn-ups.
Lace-up: derby and oxford, for the formal register.
Sneaker: low sole, leather or suede, colours kept natural.
Leathers
Full grain calf for the classic shapes: it takes the crease of the foot and polishes with time.
Suede for dry seasons: brush it, never wet it.
Leather soles on the lace-ups, light rubber on the sneakers.
Sizing
Italian sizing. Bottega Dalmut footwear fits true: stay with your usual size.
If in doubt, send us the length of your foot in centimetres.
Care
Rotate shoes day to day and use cedar trees: leather needs a day to dry out.
Calf: neutral or matching cream, brush, cloth. Suede: horsehair brush and rubber, never water.
