Men's blousons and field jackets
The mid-season garment: lighter than a coat, more closed than a jacket.
Shapes
Safari: four patch pockets, waist belt. The shape that carries a shirt underneath without bulking.
Bomber: ribbed cuffs and hem, full shoulder.
Blouson: elasticated waist, clean body, no visible pockets.
Cloth
Suede and leather for the softer versions. Gabardine and technical cotton for light rain.
Cashmere and wool on the winter pieces, where the blouson replaces a short coat.
Frequently asked questions
Will a jacket fit underneath?
+
Not in the safari and blouson shapes: they are made to go over a shirt or a knit. The winter bomber does leave room.
How do I care for suede?
+
A horsehair brush and a suede rubber, never water and never cream. If it gets wet, let it dry away from heat and then brush it.
Which size should I choose?
+
S/46, M/48, L/50, XL/52, your usual size.
Will it hold up in rain?
+
The gabardine and technical cotton versions handle light rain. Suede does not.
