The shoulder, the lapel, the drape. Three things decided on the cutting table and not corrected afterwards.
The construction
Unstructured: little canvas, soft shoulder, the weight of a heavy shirt. Worn like a cardigan.
Half lined: structure at the front, a light back. The compromise for the mid seasons.
Fully lined: the complete construction, for winter and for the formal register.
The cuts
Milano: single breasted, two buttons, notch lapel. The classic.
Dubai: double breasted, peak lapel, high fastening.
Torino: double breasted with a wide notch lapel.
Kimono: no lapel, wrapped closure.
Every cut comes from a pattern in the atelier and stays the same across ready-to-wear and bespoke.
Sizing
S/46 · M/48 · L/50 · XL/52. The shoulder decides: if it falls in the right place, the rest can be adjusted by a tailor. Real measurements are available on request.
