Linen for summer: breathable, cool to the touch, with the crease that belongs to the fibre. Cotton — poplin, oxford, seersucker — all year round. Silk for evening and for matching sets.

Fits
Classic Fit: regular, tucked in, worn under a jacket.
Torino: open collar, soft shoulder. Holds up worn untucked.
Over: generous body and sleeve, dropped shoulder.
Sahariana: patch pockets and a waist belt. The mid-season outer layer.
Reyn: short sleeve, relaxed cut.

Care
Linen and cotton: wash at 30°, steam iron while the cloth is still damp.
Silk: hand wash in cold water or professional cleaning. Dry flat, out of direct sunlight. Iron inside out, on low.

What is the difference between Classic Fit, Torino and Over?

Classic Fit is the regular fit, made to be tucked in. Torino has a more open collar and a softer shoulder, and holds up worn untucked. Over is generous through the body and sleeve, with a dropped shoulder.
Does linen crease?

Yes. The crease belongs to the fibre, not to the making. A steam iron on a medium setting, or hanging the shirt to dry straight after washing.
How do I wash a silk shirt?

By hand, in cold water, with a neutral detergent. Otherwise, professional cleaning. No tumble dryer, no spin cycle. Dry flat, iron inside out on low.
Can a shirt be made to measure?

Yes. It starts with the cloth. Measurements are taken in the Francavilla Fontana atelier or during our private appointments in Milan, Zurich, London and Dubai.
